Are you working on land, ecosystem and atmosphere processes? Are you an undergraduate, post graduate, post-doctorate or early career scientist? Want to take part in a global conference that connects you to fellow scientists?

Then please use the form below to register below for the Joint iLEAPS & FLUXNET Poster Conference for Early Career Scientists that will take place on Twitter on

                            August 25th 2021 00:01 Coordinated Universal Time (UTC)

Note: The comments and judging will start on Wednesday August 26th 2021 00:00 Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) and finish at 00:00 Thursday 27th August 2021. The winner of the award for best poster at the conference will be announced on Friday 28th August 2021.

Once you have registered, simply wait until the day to upload an image of your poster onto to Twitter and put the hashtag:  #iLEAPS_FLUXNET add the two twitter handles @iLEAPS_ECSN and @Fluxnet_ecn so that we can find your poster on the day. (no photographs of posters please as these are not clear to see)

Importantly it is also the FLUXNET year of Water Fluxes and so we especially want to hear from all you Early careers scientist who might be undertaking research on #WaterFluxes!

We encourage submissions from early career scientists who's work might fall into the 4 categories (Please choose in the dropdown menu in the form which category best aligns with your work) :

• Modelling

• Measurements

• New methods/frameworks

• Science communication

​Our panel of judges are members of the iLEAPS and FLUXNET Scientific Steering Committee 

They will be choosing the best poster submitted on the day for the iLEAPS poster conference ECS award.

Once you have uploaded your poster on twitter on the day of the event please make sure you reply to comments that you may receive. We will have participants in all different time zones so please remember replies to comment could be a little slower. This opportunity is all about making connections with fellow early career scientists and senior scientist within your field. We want the atmosphere on twitter to be supportive and friendly to allow for good discussions and so that we all have some fun! Treat this conference just like any other conference you might attend in person but without the need for travelling!!
